Dr. Narayan Bahadur Basnet

Dr. Narayan Bahadur Basnet serves as a consultant pediatrician and pediatric cardiologist, as well as the director of CMDC. He earned his MBBS from Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal. He pursued his postgraduate training in pediatrics at the Graduate School of Medicine, the University of Tokyo Hospital in Japan. He completed his Ph.D. in clinical pediatrics and pediatric cardiology at the University of Tokyo.

Additionally, he has finished a postdoctoral research fellowship from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) at the University of Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Basnet has experience as both a clinician and a clinical researcher at the same university. He previously worked at Kanti Children’s Hospital, where he consulted on and cared for children with both congenital and acquired heart conditions. He has also served as a full-time expatriate doctor in Cambodia. Furthermore, he has accompanied critically ill children, adults, and elderly patients with various health issues to multiple countries, including the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Norway, among others.
